Completed projects range from small bespoke projects to extremely large complex projects with over 6000 tonnes of structural steel.
With a large catalogue of completed projects in Ireland, the UK, and Europe, we have also build a very impressive list of completed Hyperscale Datacentres projects in the Nordic region in recent years.
Datacentres
Due to the confidential nature of our Datacentre projects, we do not disclose specific details on any of our Datacentre projects. However, to date we have completed over 35,000 tonnes of steelwork in the Irish market – and over 20,000 tonnes of steelwork in the Nordic region.
With a keen understanding of the time sensitive nature of these Hyperscale datacentres, Leonard Engineering (Ballybay) Ltd has grown to be a key supplier to many valued Datacentre clients.
Completed projects span on Irish, Swedish and Danish market.
Pharmaceutical
Leonard Engineering (Ballybay) Ltd have completed a range of projects in the Pharma sector over the years including new build Pharma plants (ranging from 100 – 2000 tonnes of steelwork) and also extensions to existing plants where we worked closely with the Main Contractor and client to ensure minimum disruption to live plant and services.

Clients include Allergan, AbbVie, Amgen, Ipsen, DePuy, Schering Plough, Merek Sharpe & Dohme, Hollister & Wyeth.
Retail
Working with a range of Main Contractors over many years, Leonard Engineering (Ballybay) Ltd have provided multiple types of retail & commercial stores for some of Irelands best known retailers – Aldi; Lidl, SuperValu, Powercity, Audi.
With a keen understanding of the time sensitive nature of these projects, Leonard Engineering (Ballybay) Ltd has grown to be a key supplier to many valued clients.
We have also undertaken projects for multi-premises retail and commercial space namely Blackrock Shopping Centre; Waterford City Square; Knocknacarra District Centre, Galway; Blanchardstown Town Centre, Red & Green Mall Extension.
Leisure/Hospitality
These projects are challenging in scale however they demonstrate our ability to deliver large complex projects at the highest levels.
From the 800t Athlone IT Running Track with its 56m CHS trusses to the larger National Indoor Arena in Abbotstown with its 89m single span trusses, smooth fabrication and erection programmes are crucial to delivering projects of this scale.
Other projects in this sector include, Trinity City Hotel, Centre Parcs Longford Forest project.
Industrial/Commercial
One of our key offerings in this sector is the wealth of knowledge which we have built up over many years on Portal Frame structures for the Industrial & Commercial sectors.
This knowledge base can help clients drive efficiencies from planning, through design & install – translating in savings on programme and cost.

Office
We understand the difficulties involved with install on multi-story city centre projects and detailed planning and execution required.
Keeping these challenges in mind, we work in detail with our clients to ensure safe and efficient install methodologies are developed.
We have completed such high profile developments such as the AIB headquarters on Molesworth Street Dublin, 76 Sir John Rogerson Quay, and Central Park Block I.
Healthcare / Education
